Billie Blue is born from the unending desire to experience something fresh, new and exciting. The answer to the continuous boredom any other career seemed to provide.

Photography feels limitless and open ended, a way to fully immerse myself in to a whole other world. Potentially a world or narrative i’ve completely made up that will inspire something in the viewer, or the chance to step in to your world and document it just how it is playing out.

I’m Kimberley, the owner of Billie Blue and the human that will be capturing your photographs. I love nothing more than taking photos, like, that’s kinda it. I really do love nothing more (apart from my partner and 4 kids but ya know what i’m sayin’)

I picked up a camera in 2016 and just never put it back down, opening doors to so many incredible opportunities and creative endeavours I could only dream of. The jump up and down, can not sleep, i’m squealing kind of shoots are definitely the ones where I get to be super creative, bring my ideas and work with incredible locations, models and a strong message. Bringing a story and narrative to life visually is beyond rewarding.

My heart is for the people, people are my jam and that will always be at the very core of what I do. Having such a big family of my own has really kept the fire burning for documenting families, I understand just how special the return. That hit home fast when we were evacuated during a tsunami warning and all I wanted was my hard drive with our photos (questionable priorities, I know). Also having the privilege of documenting many families facing terminal illness is the reminder that this is super important work that will always be available here at Billie Blue.
